- The work schedule and location will be set by the department at its discretion and based upon operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Creates, develops, and updates lectures, discussion section materials, writing assignments, reading guides, digital resources, and course modules.
- Partners with faculty to develop inclusive course syllabi, policies, and teaching practices that promote student engagement and belonging.
- Designs and implements assessments and establishes consistent grading standards across course sections and writing labs.
- Evaluates course effectiveness using student feedback, assessment data, and emerging pedagogical research to support continuous curricular improvement.
- Develops and delivers pedagogical training for graduate student Teaching Fellows and other instructional staff.
- Partners with faculty to design and implement graduate teaching practicum curricula.
- Delivers review sessions, workshops, and occasional class lectures as needed.
- Student Support and Academic Services
- Holds regular office hours and individual meetings with students to provide academic guidance and support.
- Organizes review sessions, writing support, and additional instructional opportunities for students requiring extra assistance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
- Minimum of 5 years' relevant work experience
Skills
- Supervisory experience
- Master's degree in relevant field preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, advanced Excel skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Appointment End Date: This is a one-year term position
- Standard Hours/Schedule: 35 hours per week

Compensation
- $20k-$30k

- Collaborates with Course Head Instructor(s) to develop, revise, and maintain course syllabi, schedules, learning objectives, and instructional materials.
- Develops metacognitive learning modules and other instructional resources that strengthen student learning, academic success, and disciplinary skills.
- Explores, evaluates, and implements evidence-based and innovative pedagogical approaches that enhance student learning and engagement.
- Supports student success by connecting students with appropriate academic resources and fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
