About the role

  • As a software engineer, you will work with our cross-functional team of product engineers, designers, product managers, and release engineers.
  • You will help to actively enhance the capability of ArcGIS Online feature services from inception to delivery, using the latest technology.
  • We are looking for professionals in several specific areas including relational (PostgreSQL, SQLServer) and No-SQL databases, Distributed database, and RESTful web services.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build server-side RESTful web service to power developer and geospatial application access to the platform
  • Design, implement, and maintain components within the ArcGIS Online platform, which spans infrastructure across Azure cloud
  • Build scalable, reusable, and maintainable components
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to understand requirements and incorporate them into the feature service Design
  • Solid understanding of API design and object-oriented design patterns

Requirements

  • 2+ years of industry experience coding in C#, C++, and.NET platform
  • Experience with Azure cloud computing platforms and services
  • Fundamental knowledge of computational geometry data structures and algorithms
  • Strong knowledge of GIT
  • Bachelor's degree in math, computer science, physics, engineering, or related field
  • Working knowledge of a source control system, preferably GIT
  • Familiarity with JSON and HTTP protocol
  • Experience in GIS data structures and algorithms
  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in math, computer science, physics, engineering, or related field

Compensation

  • A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is
  • $101,192 - $167,336 USD
