  • In this role, you will be exposed to a wide range of use cases where Apache Airflow sits at the center of the solution.
  • The impacts you will make will enable customers to rapidly grow their businesses by adopting Astronomer products to meet their goals.
  • Guide our largest and most complex customers in their Apache Airflow journeys

Responsibilities

  • As a Field Engineer, SWAT, you will join our field team to deliver world-class technical solutions to customer and prospect business problems.
  • Implement Astronomer's software and services in the core of some of the world's largest businesses and organizations.

Requirements

  • Experience setting up and troubleshooting distributed systems
  • Experience with complex SaaS infrastructure operating at scale
  • Experience with at least one major cloud provider API/tooling
  • Ability to read code
  • Proficiency in Python/Go.
  • Good understanding of network complexities and architectures
  • Versatile Terminal and CLI user, this will be a hands-on role, frequently without access to a GUI
  • Work effectively with git

Nice to have

  • Strong Kubernetes experience (GKE/EKS/AKS or OpenShift preferred)

Skills

  • Expertise in at least one programming language.
  • Cloud-native data architecture experience
  • Strong customer facing skills
  • Strong oral and written communications skills - should be able to explain complex technical issues to non-technical folks succinctly

Compensation

  • The estimated total compensation for this role ranges from $175,000 - $240,000 based on leveling and geography, along with an equity component and a comprehensive benefits package.
