About the role

  • The Wisconsin Union is recruiting for two shift managers!
  • The positions are part of the team that oversees some of our most popular venues in the
  • The positions are part of the team that oversees some of our most popular venues in the Memorial Union: Lakefront Lounge, Daily Scoop, Strada, and the summer terrace BBQ stand.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and schedules logistics and menus for daily and catering operations
  • Leads and provides exceptional customer service, answers questions, and provides information regarding food preparation, catering, and associated activities
  • Performs routine and non-routine food preparation activities including cook to order and specialty foods
  • Cleans, inspects, and maintains kitchen equipment and work areas

Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds occasionally needed
  • Ability to work outside in inclement weather needed.

Nice to have

  • ServSafe Certificate required or able to obtain within 6 months of hire
  • Alcohol Server License required or able to obtain within 6 months of hire

Compensation

  • The expected starting salary is 22.50/ hour.
  • This position is also eligible for weekend and night differential pay.
