About the role

  • This position assists with scheduling, data tracking, communication, documentation, and coordination with students, faculty, and clinical sites.
  • This position reports to the Director of Medical Education.
  • Assist with student scheduling, placement, and tracking across clerkship rotations, including maintaining accurate records in designated systems (e.g., One45 or equivalent platforms).

Responsibilities

  • The Assistant Clerkship Coordinator provides administrative, operational, and programmatic support for the Clerkship Phase, including clerkship rotations and courses.
  • Support the preparation, organization, and distribution of clerkship materials, schedules, syllabi, and orientation resources, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Maintain curriculum materials and documentation in designated electronic repositories.
  • Support data entry, tracking, and reporting related to clerkship performance metrics, evaluations, and outcomes.
  • Travel between clinical sites as needed to support clerkship operations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Two (2) to four (4) years of administrative experience required.
  • Participate in clerkship-related meetings and training sessions as required.

Compensation

  • Salary range is $20 to $22

  • Assist Clerkship Coordinators in communicating with medical students regarding clerkship schedules, requirements, evaluations, policies, and deadlines.
  • Support the coordination of logistical details for clerkship orientations, meetings, assessments, and educational activities, including simulated learning activities and OSCEs, as assigned.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with RUCOM policies, procedures, and accreditation standards related to clinical education.
  • Experience in higher education, healthcare, or a clinical education environment preferred.
