Responsibilities

  • Engages with underwriting to drive corporate strategies for targeted lines of business, industry or specialized risk control area.
  • Optimizes distribution engagement, strengthening relationships with agents and brokers to provide customer solutions.
  • Analyzes risk control strengths and weaknesses to maintain a competitive edge in the marketplace.
  • Develops United States or global risk control strategies to positively impact loss ratios, new business goals and retention requirements to achieve profitability targets.
  • Applies risk control policies, guidelines, insurance laws and regulations, and drives the resolution of critical/cost driver risk control issues.
  • Develops and maintains business relationships with internal and external business partners. Known expert among Risk Control staff and CNA partners within the industry, actively shaping new industry relationships.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, decision making and presentation skills. Ability to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external business partners.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and simultaneously manage multiple projects and teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with Masters preferred or equivalent experience with professional designation(s) needed for the industry, segment or LOB being represented.
  • Works within the broadest limits of authority requiring the highest degree of technical complexity and coordination.
