Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize and Design new products/tools to meet customer specifications in a timely, thorough, concise manner utilizing the best of Engineering practices (GD&T, CAD, FMEA, testing, math analysis, etc.)
  • Perform product maintenance of existing products such as cost reduction, warranty analysis, and design improvements over the complete product lifecyle.
  • Team leadership - lead the project team to be creative, accurate, detailed, and professional.
  • Perform design analysis and FMEA's on new tools to assure form, fit, function, and safety.
  • Maintain all project documentation, i.e. schedule, design reviews, FMEAs, drawings, BOM's, etc.
  • Maintain product certifications such as UL and CE.
  • Represent the Design Engineering Team with professionalism and integrity when communicating with the Customer, Cross Functional Teams and the entire organization.
  • Support the Bosch Leadership Standards.
  • Creative Problem Solving - proven problem solving ability via design or process
  • The candidate will work closely with a cross functional team to deliver products on-time, on-spec, and on-budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree
  • Proven design skills, utilizing knowledge of similar product, conceptual layouts, locating components, (FEA analysis where required) and 3-D solid modeling.
  • Proficiency in PC skills
  • Proven experience with Bill of Materials, ECO's, Model shop orders, GD&T, FMEA's
  • The candidate will assume full responsibility for all engineering documentation, specifications and required data for the assigned projects.

Compensation

  • The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $96,600 - $112,000.

  • Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc.
