About the role

  • As a Mainframe Cybersecurity Software Engineer (ICB 5), you will take ownership of the security posture, core architecture, and ongoing evolution of Gen (formerly known as COOL: Gen or CA Gen).
  • This is a high-impact, visible role where you will apply your advanced cybersecurity expertise to influence all levels of product delivery.
  • Concurrently, you will serve as a subject matter expert and thought leader-championing security best practices in partnership with product management and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Research, develop, and implement high-quality software solutions to maintain and enhance Gen's core product capabilities.
  • Drive technical design to ensure robust security standards, while retaining a simple user experience.
  • All subject to relevant plan documents and award agreements.

Requirements

  • You are a self-motivated team player who likes diving into complex, legacy environments to modernize them against ever-changing security standards.
  • You are comfortable working on and off the mainframe.
  • Your natural curiosity keeps you well informed of the latest technologies, and deepens your knowledge of legacy systems that are the foundation of global enterprise.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in software development.
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent engineering degree.
  • Experience with mainframe(z/OS) and distributed environments (Windows, Unix, Linux) and related security best practices.

Compensation

  • The annual base salary range for this position is USD 129,400.00 To USD 207,000.00
  • As a valued member of our team, you'll be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and the opportunity to receive not only a competitive new hire equity grant, but also annual equity awards, connecting your success directly to the company's growth.
