About the role

" Keep Playing Kids (" KPK ") is a national not-for-profit that provides FREE sports programs to children in our communities.
We provide fun and safe recreational activities to help keep kids active, introduce them to new sports and share the joy of PLAY.
1% of JAM's revenue, created by our ongoing adult sports leagues, is donated directly to our Keep Playing Kids initiative which is what allows us to run these programs completely FREE.

Extremely upbeat and positive, with their own flair and personality!
Willingness to approach and chat with members and maintain this positive relationship over the course of the season.
Deliver What You Promise

Knowledge of basic coaching principles, techniques, and safety guidelines for various sports (e.g., soccer, basketball, floor hockey).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact positively with children, parents, and other volunteers.
Ability to pass a background check and meet any other requirements mandated by the organization or school.
Must have incredible attention to detail and be a quick learner!
You are known for taking initiative.
Passion for working with children and promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyles.
Experience playing and/or coaching sports, preferably with children in a recreational or educational setting.
Patient, enthusiastic, and adaptable to different skill levels and learning styles.
Reliable, responsible, and able to commit to the program schedule and expectations.
Eastview KPK Program
Start Date: January 23rd, 2025 (Winter Season)
Program Time: Thursdays, 1.5hr slot (3:30PM-5:00PM )
Expected Participants: 80 children (ages 5-13) broken into 2 sessions of about 30-40 kids each
Coaches: Minimum 2 needed per session
