About the role

  • As a Senior Accountant on the Accounting team, you'll play a critical role in helping the team with the month-end, quarterly and financial closing process.
  • You'll be essential in helping with Paxos' day-to-day accounting activities, overseeing aspects of the general ledger including but not limited to, cash management and intercompany functions.
  • The accounting team provides in-depth guidance to the rest of the organization on financial results, delivering essential insights that influence key decisions-from daily operations to long-term strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform both routine and non-routine/complex monthly close responsibilities
  • implement scalable processes to support the Paxos' growth, and drive continuous improvement

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of combined experience in public accounting (audit) and private/in-house accounting
  • Experience in start-ups and/or financial services
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, CPA license and strong knowledge of GAAP
  • Experience overseeing and managing accounting staff
  • Proficiency with NetSuite ERP or other cloud-based accounting software
