About the role

  • Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) is a subsidiary of Sony Corporation of America (a subsidiary of the Tokyo based Sony Corporation).
  • Systems Analyst will be a key player in taking new applications from built or acquired to operational.
  • This role in coordination with the Senior Product Manager will be responsible for creating rollout and change control processes to introduce new technologies to the studio and ensuring their long-term stability.

Responsibilities

  • Own the delivery of applications and enhancements across production and post-production ecosystems
  • Lead cross-functional coordination across engineering, vendors, product and productions teams to deliver new capabilities
  • Drive end-to-end production readiness, including deployment planning, documentation, and training
  • Define and maintain secure configuration guides consistent with InfoSec and Studio requirements
  • Production Systems & Support
  • Own L2-L3 support operations for production and post-production applications, ensuring accountability for system uptime and performance
  • Partner with vendors and engineering teams to resolve complex production issues and improve system reliability
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system stability, performance, and user experience
  • Maintain documentation for systems, workflows, and support procedures
  • Experience owning incident management, root cause analysis, and support processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • 5+ years of experience in application delivery, production systems support, or IT operations roles
  • Proven experience supporting and operating production-critical applications in media, entertainment, or similar environments
  • Strong understanding of film/TV production and post-production workflows
  • Familiarity with SDLC and Agile methodologies
  • Ability to operate effectively in high-pressure, deadline-driven production environments

Nice to have

  • Experience with studio production systems (e.g. Cloud storage platforms, Box, Slack, EP Applications - Scenechronize, Sync on Set, Google Workspace, Airtable)
  • Knowledge of ITSM tools and frameworks (ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, etc.)

Compensation

  • The anticipated base salary for this position is $108,000-$135,000.
