About the role
- This role requires basic custodial knowledge and skills, including hard floor care, carpet care, and sanitation practices.
Responsibilities
- Perform waste removal, including trash and recycling.
- Clean windows, glass, and building entries.
- Occasional schedule flexibility may be necessary to support university events, which may include weekends and holidays.
Nice to have
- 1+ year of previous work experience in an operational environment.
- Experience with small and large tools required for essential tasks (floor care equipment, mop/mop bucket, dust mop, broom, scrub pad, etc.).
- Familiarity with work order related software.
- Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to interact professionally with staff and respond to inquiries courteously.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to follow written and oral instructions effectively.
- Basic decision-making abilities to assess and address cleaning and maintenance needs.
- UCF policy requires completion and passing of a physical exam for this position.

- New hires selected for this position at the University of Central Florida can expect to be offered the base salary amount for the role.
