  • You'll work directly with people in need of assistance, and/or living with intellectual or developmental disabilities, or other complex medical needs.

Responsibilities

  • Since 1976, we've been dedicated to meeting people where they are, working alongside them to provide person centered supports that allow people to live independently as possible.
  • Assist the supervisor in maintaining consistency in programming, individual supports, and team communication.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and support to staff and support team members.
  • Perform direct support duties during assigned shifts, including personal cares, meal preparation, transportation, and other activities of daily living.
  • Promote person-centered supports that foster independence, choice, dignity, and positive outcomes.
  • Assist with household management and help maintain a clean, safe, and well-maintained home environment, including general housekeeping and upkeep tasks.

Requirements

  • Ability to safely transfer, reposition, and assist individuals in accordance with established safety guidelines.
  • Ability to lift, move, push, pull, and/or assist with lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Required (Must-Have)

Nice to have

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
  • Minimum of two years of experience working with individuals with disabilities and/or one year of lead staff experience, or a two-year degree in a related field.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and communication.

  • Strong organizational, decision-making, communication, and time management skills.
