About the role
- Reporting to the Community Manager, the Assistant Community Manager is responsible for the administration and leasing functions at the property.
- The Assistant Community Manager is responsible for the implementation and
- execution of resident relations and engagement programs, including the planning and execution of resident appreciation events.
Responsibilities
- Maintain positive tenant relations by addressing issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepare and review leasing documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions, maintenance requests, and resident interactions.
- Perform general administrative duties, such as answering phone calls, emails, and maintaining tenant files.
- Collect rent and manage late payment issues, including issuing notices for non-payment.
- Help the Community Manager manage evictions and legal notices, ensuring proper procedure is followed.

Requirements
- Experience in Property Management, Hospitality, or other closely related industries
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, ability to multitask
- Must be a self-starter with a high degree of initiative, flexibility, and professionalism
- Knowledge of Yardi Voyager and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with smart phone and tablet technology
- Post-secondary education preferred
- Superior ability to develop and sustain cooperating working relationships with staff, contractors, the public and residents
- A passion for excellence in customer service delivery
- Ability to work flexible hours
