About the role

  • We are looking for an experienced individual to fill the role of Facilities Controls Engineer supporting the Facilities Operations Group.
  • This role is ideal for an engineering professional with hands-on experience in facilities controls, industrial automation, and critical infrastructure systems.
  • In this role you will work with cross functional disciplines to ensure reliable, efficient, and scalable facility control systems.

Responsibilities

  • As a Facilities Control Engineer at SAS, you'll be directly responsible for the design, maintenance and continuous improvement projects of facility control systems supporting semiconductor fab wafer production.
  • Facility control systems are designed to run 24 hours a day, 365 days a year without interruption.
  • Develop, mentor, and influence a team of engineers and project managers, fostering a collaborative and safety-conscious work environment.
  • Team Leadership: Develop, mentor, and influence a team of engineers and project managers, fostering a collaborative and safety-conscious work environment.
  • Operational Support: Provide day-to-day support for operational, maintenance, and engineering issues within Facilities Operations Maintenance (FOM).
  • Have the ability to create construction drawings, details, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), etc.

Requirements

  • Experience with Profibus, Modbus, or other Can-bus style protocols.
  • Applicants must be authorized to access such information or eligible for government authorization.

Nice to have

  • BS in Electrical/Controls Engineering and experience working at an industrial facility (semiconductor/manufacturing preferred).
  • Software knowledge: Experience with SCADA and PLC Ladder Logic, Rockwell RS Studio and Siemens Step 7 Siemens WinCC Open Architecture is a plus.
  • Familiarity with High Performance HMI best practices, SQL, and Python a plus.

Skills

  • Project management for facilities operations projects.
  • Operation and maintenance of industrial control systems.
  • Continuously improve automation and standardization for HVAC Thermal and Exhaust abatement processes.
  • Troubleshoots basic PLC issues, traces problems & provides solutions.
  • Work with engineering system owners, as clients, to improve control of their systems or solve control issues.
  • Report performance trends/issues to management and recommend solutions.
  • Define control system and instrumentation maintenance requirements and procedures.
  • 1st shift, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday.

Compensation

  • The current base salary range for this role is between $76,000 - $145,000.
