About the role

- SNS One is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer III to support a mission-critical environment in Columbia, MD. The selected candidate will provide senior-level systems engineering and infrastructure support within a complex enterprise environment. Responsibilities
- Provide implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance support for enterprise IT systems and infrastructure.
- Manage and maintain client, server, storage, network, and mobile device environments, including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and issue resolution.
- Support help desk operations, dispatch systems, and hardware troubleshooting through resolution.
- Optimize system operations, resource utilization, capacity planning, and overall infrastructure reliability.
- Lead and support systems engineering initiatives, including planning, design, implementation, and operational sustainment.
- Support and maintain NetApp storage environments.
- Ensure compliance with STE/STN requirements and support mitigation activities.
- Analyze user requirements, system architectures, and operational concepts to develop system requirements and engineering solutions.
- Develop and maintain systems engineering documentation, including requirements, specifications, interface control documents, test plans, and engineering plans.
- Extensive VMware administration, virtualization, and infrastructure support experience
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline
- Five (5) years of additional Systems Engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
- Twenty (20) years of experience as a Systems Engineer supporting programs of similar scope, type, and complexity
- Demonstrated experience planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts
- Required Technical Skills
- Experience managing enterprise virtualized environments
- Hands-on experience with Ansible automation and configuration management
- TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph Required
- This role requires strong expertise in Linux administration, VMware virtualization, Ansible automation, systems integration, troubleshooting, and infrastructure sustainment.
- The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience supporting enterprise systems, leading engineering efforts, optimizing infrastructure performance, and ensuring compliance with government security requirements.
Compensation
- $150,000 - $200,000 annually
- Compensation is commensurate with experience, technical skill set, educational qualifications, and security clearance level.
