About the role
- The Environmental Services Assistant is responsible for maintaining the facility in a clean, sanitary and safe condition
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors and carpets throughout the facility.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- must be able to perform the assigned duties and functions in accordance with the standard policy and procedures of the Environmental Services Department and in accordance with the hospital objectives.
Nice to have
- High school graduate or GED preferred
Skills
- Prior experience in healthcare or commercial housekeeping preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and move equipment and supplies as required.
- Clean and disinfect patient rooms, restrooms, offices, public areas, and other hospital spaces according to established standards.
- Handle and transport regular waste, biohazard waste, soiled linen, and clean linen safely and appropriately.
- Restock departmental and patient care supplies, including paper products, soap, sanitizer, gloves, and related items.
- Move furniture, equipment, beds, and mattresses as needed.
- Clean and disinfect equipment in accordance with hospital policies.
- Maintain accurate cleaning and project records.
- Report maintenance, safety, and infection control concerns promptly.
