About the role

Our Client Legal Services Litigation Attorney position will litigate cases throughout the state of Texas as part of the Client Legal Services team.
Our ideal candidate will be part of a unique team responsible for providing top quality representation of Root Insurance and its insureds for litigated matters involving auto, property, subrogation and general liability files.
These cases will be handled from inception through trial resolution.

This position will work closely with our claim centers and insureds to deliver the best possible result in pending litigation.

$121,700 - $152,200 ( Eligible for Competitive Bonus & Equity Offering) While Root is a "work where it works best" company, this role will be based in Houston, Texas.
How You Will Make an Impact Analyze complex legal factual issues while conducting extensive and well reasoned legal research.
Independently develop and present defense strategies on behalf of clients for auto and general liability cases from inception through trial; Handle all aspects of case management, discovery, trial preparation from inception through resolution.
Prepare pleadings, written discovery, motions and briefs in support of defense strategies.
Provide effective and timely information, legal advice, and other services.
Communicate with the court, witnesses, opposing counsel, and co-counsel with professional diplomacy and discretion.
