About the role
- Troubleshoot and resolve plumbing issues with urgency to minimize impact to patient care operations
- Respond to emergency conditions including leaks, system failures, and drainage issues
- Replace and repair plumbing fixtures including sinks, toilets, showers, valves, and safety equipment
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair domestic water, sanitary, and storm systems throughout the facility
- Perform preventive maintenance in accordance with department schedules and regulatory standards
- Maintain accurate documentation using CMMS systems
- Support construction and renovation activities; comply with ICRA and PCRA requirements
- Silver Cross Hospital is seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber to support the operation, maintenance, and repair of critical plumbing systems across the hospital campus.
Requirements
- Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours response as required
Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid State of Illinois Plumbing License required
- Minimum 3-5 years of plumbing experience required
- Working knowledge of plumbing systems required
- Experience in a hospital or healthcare environment preferred
- Familiarity with ICRA and PCRA processes preferred
- Experience using CMMS systems preferred

- Days - Variable weekday and weekend, Days
