About the role
- The Field Service Technician is responsible for performing field service activities at customer sites safely, efficiently, and professionally.
- This role involves troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and operation of mechanical, electrical, diesel, and other specialized equipment depending on the business unit.
Responsibilities
- Perform troubleshooting, repair, installation, and preventative maintenance on customer and company-owned equipment.
- Manage and maintain parts inventory and service documentation.
- Deliver high-quality customer service while serving as a primary point of contact in the field.
- Collaborate effectively with team members while maintaining the ability to work independently.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- This position requires strong troubleshooting skills, critical thinking, and the ability to work independently in a variety of field environments.
- Ability to obtain customer-specific clearances (TWIC, DISA, or similar)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Nice to have
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and diesel-related issues as applicable.
- Identify, communicate, and address safety concerns at customer sites.
- Complete service reports and required documentation accurately and timely.
- Demonstrate accountability, innovation, and ownership in daily work activities.
- Overnight travel and extended time away from home may be required.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) review.
- Ability to complete all required driver qualification documentation.
