About the role

Responsibilities

  • Creates cases for support for existing programs and emerging institutional priorities.
  • Benchmarks performance and adjusts portfolio mix to meet growth targets. Leads philanthropic strategy and culture
  • Manages principal and major gift portfolios
  • Build and carry an active portfolio of 60-80 prospective donors.
  • Documents need to be presented no later than the third day of employment.
  • Reporting to the Senior Associate Vice President and Chief Development Officer, this role partners closely with executive leaders, communications, finance, legal, and advisory boards.
  • The Executive Director will also collaborate with the Senior Associate Vice President and Chief Development Officer at UT Medicine on fundraising strategy and department operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage CRM Systems, analytics, and digital tools to inform fundraising strategy, strengthen donor engagement, improve portfolio performance, and drive measurable fundraising outcomes.
  • Experience developing or expanding grateful patient fundraising programs, including physician engagement, patient referral strategies, and the integration of philanthropy into clinical environments is strongly preferred.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, nonprofit management, communications, public administration, or related field
  • A criminal history background check will be required for finalist(s) under consideration for this position.
  • If hired, you will be required to complete the federal Employment Eligibility Verification I-9 form.
  • You will be required to present acceptable and original documents to prove your identity and authorization to work in the United States.
  • Employees may be required to report violations of law under Title IX and the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act).
