About the role
- Assist the head coach in all aspects of running a competitive collegiate basketball program.
- Attend high school games as assigned by the head coach.
- Promote a culture of health, well-being, and safety in all aspects of the intercollegiate varsity basketball team.
Responsibilities
- Support the head coach in developing and implementing strategies to successfully recruit, yield, mentor, and retain a diverse group of academically and athletically talented student-athletes.
- Organize and manage training programs for assigned positional groups.
- Attend and support team needs at all practices and contests.
- The Assistant Basketball Coach/Co-Equipment Manager provides comprehensive support to the intercollegiate basketball program and the Athletics department.
Skills
- Required
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to efficiently carry tasks out to completion.
- Member of the NEWMAC and NCAA Division III.
- CPR/AED certification
- Valid drivers license
- Preferred
- Collegiate coaching and recruiting experience
