About the role
- This includes making sure the lab, the lab equipment, and the lab personnel are adequately prepared for yearly audits. - Responsible for interfacing with regulatory agencies to understand what standards apply to what products.
Responsibilities
- Interface daily with all new product and mature product design engineers concerning issues and schedules related to regulatory listings.
- Maintain an open and honest relationship with all regulatory agencies.
- Take a lead role in assuring that lab technicians have the necessary knowledge to insure their certification through the regulatory agency audits.
Requirements
- Experience evaluating, testing, and reviewing electronic circuits
- Ability to communicate across all functional areas and internationally.
- Works with a sense of urgency, initiative and has the ability to work independently.
- Minimum of three years' experience in similar field or work
- Familiarity with common test and measurement equipment -- oscilloscopes, multimeter, power supplies, etc.
- Knowledge of Li-Ion Battery electronics and Li-Ion Charging systems.
- Knowledge of IEC/UL60730 Software Evaluations.
- Must be able to adjust communications to support success.
- Must be capable of discussing standards issues with regulatory agencies objectionably and always maintain the interest of the company while staying within the scope and intent of applicable standards.
Nice to have
- BS in Engineering ( Electrical or Mechanical preferred) or equivalent experience
- Experience in international travel would be a plus.
