About the role
- Instructor/Assistant Professor of Nursing
- Frostburg State University seeks qualified applicants for an Instructor/Assistant Professor in our Department of Nursing.
- Available to begin Fall 2026, this is a full-time, 10-month tenure-track faculty position with teaching, service, and professional development responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Design curriculum and design and coordinate curriculum in area of specialty/expertise.
Requirements
- Earned graduate degree in nursing or graduate degree in another field with a nursing teaching certificate from a regionally accredited university.
- Candidates without a doctoral degree in Nursing will come in at the rank of Instructor with the requirement of completing a doctoral degree in nursing or closely related field prior to the tenure review year.
- Maintaining active practice is encouraged but not required.

- Earned or in progress doctoral degree in nursing or related field.
- Earned doctorate is required to come in at the rank of Assistant Professor.
- More than 4,000 students enroll yearly.
