About the role
- Job Description: The Scenic Carpenter will assist the Technical Direction team in constructing, installing, and dismantling scenery for all Mainstage productions.

Responsibilities
- Performs preventive maintenance on equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the scene shop and associated workspaces

Requirements
- Occasional nights and weekends required
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be comfortable with heights in excess of 24 feet
- Must be able to work in tight, dark spaces
- Minimum 4 years experience in theatrical carpentry
- Knowledge and experience with hardware and build techniques
- Proficiency in wood construction and theatrical rigging
- BA in Theater or equivalent work experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Read and interpret CAD drawings and cut lists
- Troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Punctuality, dependability, and ability to work independently
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
