About the role

  • The Associate General Manager assists the (Sr) General Manager with achieving property specific business metrics and goals.

Responsibilities

  • Work with (Sr) General Manager to prepare and manage multi-year ordinary capital and operating expense plans to meet or exceed company expectations
  • Work with (Sr) General Manager to develop the talent of the property team while ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures
  • Support (Sr) General Manager's efforts in reinforcing the company's core values through building effective teams
  • Develop relationships with corporate departments including Leasing, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, National Operations, Human Resources, Development (as needed) to ensure property and corporate objectives are met
  • Help identify opportunities to create meaningful partnerships and experiences that drive community connection with the property
  • Support the real estate tax team in developing proactive tax strategies
  • Support corporate sustainability efforts to reduce the property's carbon footprint
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • This position is designed to prepare the candidate to become the General Manager of a separate company property within 9-24 months, requiring the candidate to relocate depending on the company's need.

Requirements

  • Ability to adapt to changing work environment
  • Strong working knowledge of various computer software such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, JDEdwards, Salesforce

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to do the following:
  • The employee is regularly required to sit
  • The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2+ years of property management experience preferred
  • shopping center industry experience is a plus
  • Recognized industry certification preferred
  • OSHA General Industries 30-Hour course preferred
