About the role
- The University of Wisconsin - Platteville invites applications for a Grants Accountant.
- The salary for this position is $55,000.
- Audits and approves financial transactions such as sub-award invoices, PI transfers, refunds, payments, cost transfers and fiscal closeout of awards and projects
Responsibilities
- Works within Workday & RAMP systems to establish awards, review expenditures, issue invoices, manage accounts receivable, and process post award modifications-Interacts with State and Federal Grant management systems
Requirements
- 1-3 years of previous experience in finance or UW-system role or relevant coursework.
- Experience coordinating processes that involve multiple stakeholders and maintaining organized documentation and records.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to respond to inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting or other related field.
- Letter of application addressing all required qualifications
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Workday/RAMP.
- Prior knowledge of Federal and State Grant processes.
- Understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principals).
