About the role

  • Our Johns Manville plant in Jacksonville, FL manufactures polyisocyanurate foam insulation panels for use in roofing systems.
  • We produce foam panels as well as specialty items such as tapered, vented, composite, nail board and sheathing products.
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 2:00pm - 10:00pm, with Saturdays as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain housekeeping standards, always keeping equipment and work areas clean and orderly.
  • Maintain communication to support a cohesive team and ensure quality product is being made.
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
  • We maintain a drug-free workplace and perform pre-employment substance abuse testing.

Requirements

  • The ability to stand for extended periods
  • The ability to manually lift, push or pull at least 50 pounds safely and with proper body mechanics, sometimes while in awkward positions.
  • The ability to work safely in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful work environment
  • The ability to safely and effectively work in an often-dusty work environment that experiences a broad range of temperatures (very hot to very cold).
  • The ability to bend, stoop or kneel repetitively.
  • The ability to reach or work above the shoulder

Nice to have

  • Use safe work practices including the use of eye, ear, respiratory and foot protection equipment as needed.
  • Shows initiative in supporting plant-wide safety by following all safety procedures and policies and reporting hazardous conditions.
  • Operate a forklift.
  • relieving and supporting other team members as needed.
  • Complete production reporting.
  • Ensure department's continuous compliance with all policies, procedures, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Forklift experience, certification preferred.
  • Valid driver's license

Compensation

  • The base hourly rate for this position is $23.87.
