Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance on cryptographic primitives, key management practices, hardware wallets, multisignature architectures, and custody design decisions.
- help launch and lead an industry-wide Bitcoin security program, organize regular meetings, build trust and consensus among the group, and publish regular updates.
- Build trusted relationships with key players and partners in the industry, including exchanges, custodians, asset managers, service providers, and core developers.
Requirements
- Senior Cybersecurity & Cryptography Experience: 8 + years of professional experience across cybersecurity, cryptography, distributed systems, financial systems, or closely related technical domains.
- Bitcoin & Blockchain Security Expertise: Demonstrated hands-on expertise in Bitcoin protocol security, blockchain systems, and associated threat models, including experience evaluating or securing Bitcoin infrastructure.
- Security Research & T hreat Analy sis: Ability to analyze emerging vulnerabilities, threat models, and academic or industry research related to Bitcoin, cryptography, and blockchain security.
- Executive Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate highly technical concepts into actionable guidance for executives, boards, and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree required in Computer Science, Cryptography, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field
- Master's Degree in a relevant discipline strongly preferred.
