About the role

  • This position is 100% onsite Monday through Friday at our office located in Rancho Bernardo, North San Diego CA.
  • The following is a list of at least some of the current essential job functions of the position.

Responsibilities

  • Antenna to baseband RF subsystem design using discrete circuitry or highly integrated RFICs.
  • Discrete design includes PLL, LNA, Mixers, PA etc.
  • Overall system design to ensure good EMI performance.
  • Ensure circuit board design and overall radio product can pass emission and immunity regulations.
  • Improve design for manufacturability.
  • The successful individual in this role will actively participate in all aspects of the design process to develop the RF subsystem for Silvus' StreamCaster MANET product line.

Requirements

  • Bachelors of Science degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 2 years of multi-GHz RF hardware development experience.
  • Good working knowledge of RF board layout, fabrication, and packaging.
  • Hands-on experience with solving EMI, harmonics, spurious, and stability issues.
  • Experience using RF simulation tools (i.e. AWR Microwave Office, Altium).
  • Must be a U.S. Person (permanent resident or citizen) due to U.S. government contracts.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.
  • NOTE - As a US Federal Contractor, Silvus Technologies requires that ALL candidates being considered for employment for any position (regardless of level) MUST be a U.S. Person (permanent resident or citizen).
  • Stricter U.S. Citizen ONLY requirements (needed for some Engineering or R&D roles) will be included in the Required Qualifications section of the posted position.

Compensation

  • The pay range is NOT a guarantee.
  • Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity.
  • Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
  • $100,000 - $150,000 USD
