About the role

  • Position Objective The Assistant Project Manager is a key operational position for the organization and serves as a point of contact for internal and external parties during the construction phase of the project.
  • This position is responsible for both project and field management aspects of the job and ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to client expectations.

  • Assist in coordinating subcontractor's work and resolving field conflicts Proactively identify project areas that are failing to meet expectations and implement solutions to bring projects back in line
  • Build effective working relationships with architects, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure successful project delivery and uphold Centric's professional reputation
  • Assist Lead Project Manager with project communication by facilitating meetings, maintaining schedules, and completing weekly status reports
  • Partner with the Centric Field and Safety Manager to maintain a safe work site environment in compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations

Requirements

  • Minimum (3) years of experience in a commercial construction setting performing both project management and direct field supervision
  • Basic knowledge of project management and scheduling software
  • A valid driver's license is required
  • OSHA-10 and First-AID/CPR certifications are required within 30 days of hire
  • Previous experience in the supervision of suppliers and subcontractors on a job site
