About the role
- Substitute Teacher Minimum requirement of 10 days of substitute work in this role per school year.
- Adapt instruction to meet the learner needs of all students increasing the probability of advancing their achievement.
- Teach the approved Summit School District curriculum based on lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher.
Responsibilities
- CONTACTS: Students, parents, support staff, administrators, teachers, and community members.
Requirements
- Must be "Highly Qualified" according to Colorado's definition of a "Highly Qualified" teacher under the No Child Left Behind Act (effective January 1, 2004, for long term substitute positions)
- Experience that is similar but not the same job may be calculated at a 3:1 credit for years of experience.
- Hold a valid teaching license or substitute authorization issued by the State of Colorado
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Substitute wage $17.42 per hour for SY 22-23 Substitute Retired Teacher wage $34.84 per hour for SY 22-23

- This position is not benefits eligible.
- For positions that are determined on a wage range, experience is determined by years of work in the same job title. Experience that is similar but not the same job may be calculated at a 3:1 credit for years of experience. Year of Experience shall be whole numbers and not partial years.
