About the role

  • Are you a hands-on technical builder passionate about driving business innovation through cutting-edge AI architecture?
  • ActiveCampaign is seeking an Sr AI Engineer - AI Transformation Hub who will sit at the critical intersection of infrastructure and business innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Own the design and evolution of core capabilities within our internal AI agent platform to support high-impact business workflows and AI agents.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to translate high-priority strategic goals into scalable AI agent solutions.
  • Build and maintain shared services-such as reusable modules, integration layers, logging patterns, and data access approaches-that multiple teams can leverage.
  • Drive decisions around observability, governance, permissions, reliability, and cost-aware usage to ensure our AI transformation is sustainable and secure.
  • Help set technical direction for how new capabilities should be designed so we create durable foundations rather than one-off solutions.
  • Collaborate across engineering and business functions to identify and shape new high-value opportunities for agent-led innovation.
  • It empowers teams to automate their campaigns with AI agents that imagine, activate, and validate-freeing them from step-by-step workflows and unlocking limitless ways to orchestrate their marketing.
  • With AI, goal-based automation, and 1,000+ app integrations, agencies, marketers, and owners can build cross-channel campaigns in minutes-fine-tuned with billions of data points to drive real results for their unique business.

Nice to have

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, platform engineering, solutions engineering, infrastructure engineering, or a similar technical role.
  • Experience working with cloud environments and modern application deployment patterns.
  • Comfort troubleshooting complex technical issues across infrastructure, application logic, and third-party integrations.
  • Strong understanding of system design, reliability, scalability, and security considerations.
  • Experience defining technical patterns, processes, or standards that other builders rely on.
  • Practical experience working with AI-powered applications, agent architectures, LLM-based workflows, or adjacent systems.
  • Strong communication skills and the proven ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-moving environment.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a strong builder mentality, and a bias toward practical execution.

Compensation

  • $148k-$204k
