About the role

As a Senior Operations Manager for IDEXX's Greensboro, NC veterinary diagnostic reference laboratory, you will be a people leader at one of the largest veterinary diagnostic companies in the world.
This will be an exciting opportunity to leverage your leadership abilities to coordinate day to day lab operations - including: planning, people management, and delivering results.
You will be joining an innovative and fast-paced work environment with a strong focus on employee culture and development.

You will create and manage budgets.
You will use your proven ability to manage and deliver key operating metrics to successfully drive quality, delivery of productivity results, financial success and safety across the lab.

You are proficient in the use of Excel, Word, Tableau, and other PC applications and are comfortable with high computer use.
What You Can Expect From Us:

You will have 5+ years experience overseeing or managing a large, fast-paced, high-volume work environment across multiple shifts.
While not required, having a bachelor's degree in a science or related (business) field is preferred.
You have proven successful track record of managing a large team with a focus on employee performance, empowerment, and development skills.
You're an experienced change agent, preferably with Lean experience, and you have applied/implemented this experience in a Lean manufacturing/operations environment
You have experience with multi-tiered leadership.
You can adapt departmental plans and priorities to address resource and the operational challenges of a global company.
You have developed and/or implemented strategies in place for keeping frontline employees engaged.
You excel at organizing, prioritizing and directing work activities.
