About the role

Reporting to the Investigations Manager, the Private Investigator, Surveillance will be responsible for conducting thorough and detailed covert surveillance investigations both by vehicle and/or on foot.

Maintain vehicle and equipment in good working conditions, suitable for work and functions.

Experience working in a client-focused environment.
Experience in law enforcement is an asset.
Knowledge of all levels of the Canadian court system, criminal and civil code in Canada, insurance law, and privacy legislation is an asset.
A strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially with Word and Excel.
An ability to work under pressure to meet demanding timelines while maintaining focus on the task at hand.
Conduct investigations in a manner that makes strategic sense and that are coordinated with the client's intent, seeking guidance from management as required.
Obtain information or intelligence in a legal, ethical, and confidential manner as required.
Attend court or legal proceedings as required.

Post-secondary education or equivalent combination of post-secondary education and relevant work experience with preference given to candidates with a minimum of 5 years of field surveillance investigative experience.

$30.00 - $33.00 CAD per hour.
