Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and architecture of software systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and high performance.
  • Solve complex technical challenges and optimize system performance through innovative solutions.
  • Ability to write and maintain technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, QA, and operations, to drive product development and ensure successful delivery
  • 7+ years' experience developing professional software, with a solid understanding of cloud-based application development.
  • Proven experience architecting RAG systems leveraging LLMs, vector databases, embeddings, and semantic search, with expertise in prompt engineering, document processing, retrieval optimization, and production deployment.
  • Leads by example -mentors junior developers, supports peers, and takes ownership of key technical decisions with confidence and humility.
  • Analytical and inventive, able to break down complex technical challenges and design innovative, efficient solutions.
  • A collaborative teammate who works seamlessly across engineering, management, and cross-functional partners.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in designing and working with RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
  • Quarterly travel to our downtown Los Angeles office is required.

Compensation

  • The base salary range for this position is $143,000-$214,000 per year.
  • In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for annual incentive compensation and/or long-term incentives, subject to Company plans.

  • Awareness of authentication, authorization, encryption, and compliance best practices for cloud-hosted applications.
  • Hands-on experience participating in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, retrospectives, and cross-team collaboration.
