About the role

  • The Food Service Worker at Bozeman Health Deaconess Hospital assists in the preparation of patient meals ensuring compliance to therapeutic diet orders, patient safety modifications, and proper patient identification.
  • Records patient meal information as assigned.
  • Participates as a member of the Nutrition Service team working in the dish room, performing cleaning procedures, and organizing and putting away department inventory and supply.

Requirements

  • Assists with food preparation as assigned including operating food production equipment as required to complete tasks.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • ServSafe Certification
  • Prior work experience in food services

Skills

  • Exposures (Rarely): Bloodborne pathogens, such as blood, bodily fluids, or tissues.
  • Radiation in settings where medical imaging procedures are performed.
  • Various chemicals and medications are used in healthcare settings.
  • Job tasks may involve handling cleaning products, disinfectants, and other substances.
  • Infectious diseases due to contact with patients in areas that may have contagious illnesses.
