Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee the implementation of the FORTIFIED Roof program, ensuring adherence to established standards and practices that enhance roofing resilience.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, industry stakeholders, and government agencies to promote the adoption of FORTIFIED roofing standards across various regions and markets.
- Represent the Institute in industry forums, working groups, and conferences, advocating for policies and practices that support roof resilience.
- Develop partnerships with insurers, building trades, and community organizations to expand the reach and impact of the FORTIFIED Roof program.
- Monitor trends in building codes, industry developments, and advancements in roofing technologies to keep the program at the forefront of resilience efforts.
- Provide guidance and support to internal teams and external stakeholders regarding technical aspects of roofing systems and FORTIFIED standards.
- Leadership Skills - Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, cultivate relationships, and manage multiple stakeholders with diverse interests.
- Strategic Thinking - Experience in developing and executing strategic initiatives that align with organizational goals and promote industry best practices.
Requirements
- A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in the construction, engineering, or insurance industries, with a focus on roofing systems.
- Knowledge - Strong understanding of roofing design, installation practices, and resilience strategies; familiarity with building codes and standards.
- Technical Proficiency - Proficiency in relevant software tools and applications used for project management and data analysis.
