About the role
- Together, you'll shape the people strategy for R&D, while focusing on executive partnership, organizational evolution, leadership effectiveness, and long-term workforce strategy.
- This role is based in our San Francisco office with an office-centric hybrid schedule.
- The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
Responsibilities
- Partner directly with our CTO and CPO as a trusted advisor, shaping people strategy, organizational design, workforce planning, leadership effectiveness, and the long-term evolution of Asana's R&D organization.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of two experienced People Partners, enabling them to deliver exceptional partnership while continuing to raise the bar across the R&D organization.
- Partner with your People Partner leadership peers across GTM, G&A, and International to continuously evolve the People Partner function, bringing an enterprise-first mindset and helping build a consistent, high-impact team.
- Lead organizational transformation across R&D, including organizational design, succession planning, leadership team effectiveness, change management, and workforce planning.
- Serve as a trusted coach to senior leaders, providing thoughtful challenge, practical guidance, and candid feedback to help them and their teams perform at their best.
- Partner on M&A activity, supporting organizational design, talent assessment, change management, and successful integration.
- Collaborate across the broader People team to deliver exceptional company-wide people programs while ensuring the evolving needs of the R&D organization are represented.
Requirements
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to connect people strategy to business outcomes and influence executive decision-making.
- Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions or other significant organizational transformations.
