- New York, New York Job Description The NY office is seeking a Docket Clerk to join the Managing Attorney's office in its NY office.
- The expected salary range for this position is $85,000 - $100,000.

Responsibilities
- This role will also provide supplemental support to the Miami office litigation department when appropriate, and other tasks at the direction of the Managing Attorney.
- Support MAO team-members with filings, research and the like.
- Perform docketing and calendaring tasks by using firm's calendar software.
- Work with vendors to obtain court files, serve process, and other litigation-related support.
- Maintain and update electronic databases such as ECF logins, form files, etc.
- Draft form documents and letters.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely and build relationships with lawyers, clients and staff to achieve results. Requires a high level of collaboration.
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with the appropriate discretion.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or m inimum of (2-3) years of experience working as a Docket Clerk in a Managing Attorney's/Clerk's office or a professional services environment is required.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
- Review papers before service and filing for correct form, signatures, required filing fees, required number of copies, etc.
- Overtime required.
Skills
- Knowledge of PACER, CourtAlert, NYS Unified Court System, CompuLaw, Courthouse News Service, and Courtlink.
- Knowledge of Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, NY Civil Practice Law and Rules, NY Rules of Court, and local practices.
- Demonstrated ability in complex filings, both paper and electronic.
- Ability to effectively work under pressure in a demanding and fast paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use discretion and exercise independent and sound judgment.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Strong organizational, communication and time management skills required.
- Ability to prioritize issues and handle competing priorities.
- Ability to take initiative in handling projects and anticipating what needs to be done.
- Able to raise potential defects with filings based on experience and knowledge.
- Flexibility to adjust hours and work necessary to meet operating and business needs.
Compensation
- The expected salary range for this position is $85,000 - $100,000.
