About the role
- Will stay current in the practice of Respiratory Care by actively participating in continuing education and maintaining certifications and annual competencies
- When a patient has a severe respiratory condition in a ProMedica hospital, a Respiratory Care Practitioner provides the care they need in a general, clinical, emergency, and/or diagnostic care area.
- In this role, you will help with clinical instruction of respiratory care, nursing, medical students, and residents as needed.
Responsibilities
- High school diploma or GED and maintain credential as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
Requirements
- ACLS, NRP, and PALS certification is recommended, and may be required at some business units.
- Must be licensed to render respiratory care services by the respective state(s) of practice - Ohio and/or Michigan.
