About the role

Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining strong connections with local employers, educators, and community service providers
  • Assessing job seekers for program eligibility/suitability and helping them build tailored action plans

Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods.
  • Knowledge of the regional construction sector and employment trends
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, data entry
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license and reliable vehicle (travel is required)
  • Ability to wear PPE and perform construction site visits as required

Nice to have

  • Experience in the construction industry, skilled trades, employment services, and/or journeyperson certification
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Self-motivation with strong time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills
  • Resourcefulness, adaptability
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Travel within Vancouver Island is required.
  • Occasional evening or weekend availability may be required.
