Responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining strong connections with local employers, educators, and community service providers
- Assessing job seekers for program eligibility/suitability and helping them build tailored action plans
Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods.
- Knowledge of the regional construction sector and employment trends
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, data entry
- Valid Class 5 driver's license and reliable vehicle (travel is required)
- Ability to wear PPE and perform construction site visits as required
Nice to have
- Experience in the construction industry, skilled trades, employment services, and/or journeyperson certification
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Self-motivation with strong time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills
- Resourcefulness, adaptability
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Travel within Vancouver Island is required.
- Occasional evening or weekend availability may be required.
