About the role

  • The Ultrasonographer is responsible for using diagnostic medical equipment to diagnose various medical conditions.
  • Sonography, or ultrasonography, is the use of sound waves to generate an image for assessment and diagnosis.
  • The Ultrasonographer may specialize in obstetric/gynecol ogic, abdominal, neurosonography or breast sonography.

Responsibilities

  • Keeps patient records and adjusts/maintains equipment.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have thorough knowledge in computer information systems.
