About the role

The Data Operations Associate is responsible of the entire data lifecycle from data preparation to reporting and recognizes the interconnected nature of the data analytics and data operations.
It is expected for the candidate to leverage coding skills to be able to improve velocity, reliability, and quality of data operations and analytics.
Requires strong math knowledge and understanding of index mathematics and an ability to work with complex excel models on a daily basis.

Maintain, update, and troubleshoot complex index models in excel on a daily basis.
Manages and maintain relationships with key members of other groups within S&P Index Services, across other S&P departments, particularly IT.

0 to 3 years of professional experience is required.
Must be able to demonstrate excellent analytical and quantitative capabilities to solve original, non-routine problems in a timely and insightful manner.
Superior Excel/VBA, SQL, GenAI/LLM skills along with Python coding knowledge is required to manage and manipulate large data sets while making processes automations.
Must be able to work independently on multiple projects with minimal direction or supervision
Ability to learn new data and calculation platforms in a limited time.
Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to coordinate work done by multiple people and / or groups.
Basic Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree.
Advanced degree in math, actuarial science, computer science, information systems strongly preferred.

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $90,000 to $100,000.
Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus.
