About the role
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies.
- Coordinate departmental planning and strategic initiatives.
- Coordinate Legal Department meetings, offsites, leadership meetings, and employee engagement activities.
Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to contribute beyond the core responsibilities of the position, partnering collaboratively across functions to support the continued success and growth of the company.
- Manage daily operational activities of the Legal Department.
- Develop, implement, and maintain departmental processes, procedures, and workflows.
- Maintain departmental calendars, recurring governance activities, and operational documentation.
- Support workspace planning and departmental logistics.
- Support implementation of operational best practices.
- Develop metrics to evaluate process effectiveness.
- Develop and manage onboarding programs for Legal Department personnel.
- Create and maintain training materials, job aids, and reference documentation.
- Support adoption of legal processes and technology solutions.
Skills
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 5+ years of legal operations, legal administration, legal project management, or corporate legal department experience.
- Experience supporting in-house legal departments.
- Experience with outside counsel management.
- Experience with legal technology platforms.
- Experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced corporate environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with sound data driven decision-making ability.
- Learning agility.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting tools.
Compensation
- $129,000 - $160,000 USD
