About the role
- Job Description: Veit is seeking a Diesel Technician to complete repairs and preventive maintenance on heavy duty trucks and trailers.
- This person will also assist in heavy equipment repairs.
- Frequently lifts and/or moves up to 75 pounds.

Requirements
- Strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of heavy-duty truck components.
- Experience using diagnostic software and welding experience.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with changing priorities and situations.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with coworkers and management, verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work independently, assuring repair decisions are made utilizing appropriate experience and tasks are completed and in a timely manner.
- Must be willing to join the union. (Local 49)
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or ability to obtain.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and motor vehicle record requirements
