- Required Education and/or Work Experience: Minimum qualifications include a formal education equivalent to a high school diploma
- plus, six months experience in a clerical field or related area. Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for part of these requirements.
- Preferred Education and/or Work Experience: Experience with Workday, banking and or cashiering.
- Summary of Job Duties:
- Responsible for primary cashiering operations to include managing and balancing a cash drawer.
- Assist students with questions or concerns about their student account.
- Corresponds by email or mail with students about refund checks and customers outside the University about checks received.
- Receipts a variety of checks, some of which are student payments, outside scholarships, departmental deposits and student organization deposits.
- Responsible for maintaining a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner to foster teamwork and by providing leadership to subordinates.
- Works with Finance staff in researching issues and ensuring proper coding of receipts.
Nice to have

- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting policies and procedures
- Knowledge of general information technology concepts and various software
- Knowledge of customer service techniques
