About the role

  • Select termination methods for BMS/PCBA connections (e.g., welded, crimped, soldered, ZIF).

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage 3D models and 2D drawings of battery interconnects, current collectors, and sense harnesses.
  • Build and test prototypes
  • support design validation and launch activities.
  • Conduct and lead design reviews, DFMEAs, and DFM analyses to ensure design robustness.
  • Develop and execute DVP&R plans to validate product performance and durability.
  • Build and test prototypes; support design validation and launch activities.
  • Our ultra-light, high-performance interconnects are redefining how energy moves through complex systems, enabling smarter, more efficient, and more sustainable designs.
  • We're building our pipeline for future opportunities (2026 and beyond) and looking to connect with talented Product Design Engineers who are passionate about battery systems and interconnect design.
  • If you thrive at the intersection of mechanical design, electrical engineering, and materials science, and want to help shape the future of electrification, we'd love to stay in touch.
  • We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees while building teams that represent a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent.
  • Experience with cell connection manufacturing processes (laser welding, ultrasonic welding, resistance welding, ribbon/wire bonding).
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and thermal of conductor and insulation materials.
  • Ability to size busbars and conductors using simulations and 1D joule heating calculations.
  • Experience designing and validating electrical joints and connection interfaces.
  • CelLink participates in the E-Verify program in specific locations as required by law.

Nice to have

  • experience with FEA/CFD simulation tools for mechanical and thermal analysis.
  • Preferred: experience with FEA/CFD simulation tools for mechanical and thermal analysis.

Compensation

  • $120,000 - $150,000 (final compensation determined by experience and level).
  • We anticipate multiple openings and will align compensation accordingly.

Benefits

  • Explore new materials, designs, and processes to enhance the thermal, electrical, and mechanical performance of flexible circuits.
  • CelLink is pioneering the next generation of flexible circuit technology powering electric vehicles, battery systems, and clean energy applications.
  • As a Product Design Engineer on CelLink's Battery Team, you'll design and develop flexible circuit products for advanced energy storage applications, from concept through validation.
