About the role
- Select termination methods for BMS/PCBA connections (e.g., welded, crimped, soldered, ZIF).
Responsibilities
- Create and manage 3D models and 2D drawings of battery interconnects, current collectors, and sense harnesses.
- Build and test prototypes
- support design validation and launch activities.
- Conduct and lead design reviews, DFMEAs, and DFM analyses to ensure design robustness.
- Develop and execute DVP&R plans to validate product performance and durability.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent.
- Experience with cell connection manufacturing processes (laser welding, ultrasonic welding, resistance welding, ribbon/wire bonding).
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and thermal of conductor and insulation materials.
- Ability to size busbars and conductors using simulations and 1D joule heating calculations.
- Experience designing and validating electrical joints and connection interfaces.
- CelLink participates in the E-Verify program in specific locations as required by law.
Nice to have
- experience with FEA/CFD simulation tools for mechanical and thermal analysis.
- Preferred: experience with FEA/CFD simulation tools for mechanical and thermal analysis.
Compensation
- $120,000 - $150,000 (final compensation determined by experience and level).
- We anticipate multiple openings and will align compensation accordingly.
