About the role
- Kraken Robotics is currently recruiting for an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join our Mount Pearl, NL office.
- This applies to the breadth of Kraken products and systems.
- Such as: Launch and Recovery Systems, KATFISH, Synthetic Aperture Sonar (SAS) products, Deep Sea Batteries, Chargers and Mine Hunting Systems.
Requirements
- AND EXPERIENCE Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent engineering discipline with 4+ years' experience.
- Knowledgeable in general machine design. (Seals, bearings, gearboxes, drive mechanisms, brackets, bolted joints, etc.) Proficiency in CAD software for 3D modelling and mechanical simulation.
- Demonstrated technical skills along with a proven track record for success.
Skills
- Experience with SolidWorks 3D CAD and SolidWorks simulation.
- Experience with SolidWorks PDM.
- Approval workflows, version control, file structure, etc.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Experience with Sonar systems especially in an ocean environment.
- P.Eng. is considered an asset.
