About the role

As a Propulsion Engineer at our Strother Field site, you will focus on troubleshooting, engineering analysis, and hardware disposition for F110 modules.
Diagnose and resolve complex hardware issues using data analysis and structured problem-solving (RCA, five-why)

Collaborate with design, quality, and operations to implement corrective actions and drive design or process improvements
Assist Production Supervisors and production employees in resolving manufacturing process problems through a drive to root cause and permanent corrective action
Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research trials; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, machining, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.
Work cross functionally with quality and design engineers to ensure that new processes achieve established metrics
Promote and build a positive working relationship with hourly team members
Develop incoming work scopes that balance technical requirements, customer needs, and contractual obligations

Minimum 1 year of demonstrated experience troubleshooting technical issues in a production, overhaul, or maintenance environment
Must be U.S. Citizen, pass background checks and drug screenings
Translate technical processes and methods to train and empower production employees in the manufacturing techniques required for greatest yield, effectiveness & equipment capability
Ideal Candidate:
Minimum Required Qualifications:

You are a hands-on engineer who enjoys digging into data, solving problems at the root cause, and working closely with shop and cross-functional teams to keep hardware moving through the factory safely and efficiently
LEAN/Six Sigma or equivalent problem-solving/quality training
Jet engine experience in workscoping and hardware dispositions
Proficiency with MS Office and basic engineering analysis tools
Experience collaborating in a matrixed, cross-functional environment
